Abstract
The tuning of an asymmetric Mach-Zehnder is demonstrated using W-induced ne gative index changes. A substantial difference is seen between positive ind ex growth and negative index growth, particularly in the magnitude of W-ind uced birefringence splitting which can be several orders of magnitude large r for the latter.
