The catalytic properties of Ni-MoO3 for the isomerization of heptane w
ere investigated. After treatment with a mixture of H-2 and heptane, N
i-MoO3 catalysts became active and selective for this reaction. The is
omerization activity increased with increasing amount of Ni loading on
to MoO3, indicating that Ni was an effective additive to enhance the c
atalytic performances of MoO3 for the isomerization of heptane.
