Abstract
(+/-)-trans,cis-4-Benzoyloxy-2,2,8a-trimethyldecahydroquinolinyl-N-oxyl rev eals a reversible redox peak whose oxidation potential is at + 0.55 V vs. A g/AgCl. The compound catalyzed the oxidation reactions of benzyl alcohol an d 1-phenethyl alcohol to benzaldehyde and acetophenone, respectively, in sa tisfied current efficiency (74.4-80.6%) and selectivity (100%).
