The effects of the Co2+ + Ti4+, Bi3+ and Bi3+ + Ti4+ modification additions
on the microstructure and magnetic properties of barium hexaferrite were s
tudied by x-ray diffraction analysis, Mossbauer spectroscopy, and specific
surface measurements. The results demonstrate that barium hexaferrite modif
ied with Co2+ + Ti4+ and Bi3+ + Ti4+ ions can be used to produce high-coerc
ivity fillers for recording media.
