Abstract
New heterodinuclear complexes [(MML)-M-1-L-2](+2), where M-1 = Ni+2, M-2 = Mn+2, Fe+2, Co+2, Cu+2, Zn+2 or M-1 = Co+2, M-2 = Zn+2, 2H(+) and LH2 = 11, 23-dimethyl-3,7,15,19-tetra-azatricyclo[19.3.1.1(19,13)]hexacosa-2,7,9,11,1 3(26),14,19,21(25),22,24-decaene-25,26-diol (Robson ligand) are described. The complexes have been synthesised in a new, very short synthetic route, a nd characterised by elemental analysis, UV-Vis, IR and EPR spectroscopy. Th e purity and heterodinuclear nature of the obtained compounds has been conf irmed by H-1 NMR spectroscopy and electrospray mass spectrometry. The signa l assignment of those high-spin, paramagnetic complexes has been based on d etailed H-1 NMR analysis and comparison with related homodinuclear analogue s. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A.
