The setup described makes it possible to orient nuclei in a wide ranee of m
ass numbers by using both hyperfine interaction and techniques of "brute fo
rce." The facility contains a He-3/He-4 dilution refrigerator of a module d
esign, a superconducting magnet, Ge(Li) detectors of gamma-radiation, and S
i charged-particle detectors operating at liquid-helium temperature. The fa
cility is intended for measuring angular anisotropy of alpha- and gamma-rad
iations of oriented radioactive nuclei as well as for polarization experime
nts on secondary accelerator beams.
