Abstract
This article gives a detailed legal analysis of the Kyoto Protocol's key pr ovisions. The analysis includes a presentation of the negotiations' histori cal, institutional and political context, and of the positions of the diffe rent players. It describes the future challenges relating to the implementa tion of the Protocol and its possible strengthening.
