Abstract
An overview of supported employment and its historical context is examined, and supported employment for individuals with both intellectual disability and challenging behaviour is discussed. A proposed model for working with such individuals is briefly outlined. This model is based on previous work in the field, and is characterized by a multi-component approach which addr esses the issues of both support and behavioural intervention.
