Abstract
We report an unusual case of acute urinary retention secondary to Isaacs' s yndrome due to external urethral sphincter spasm. The patient was able to r esume spontaneous voiding after the treatment of the underlying disease. At 6-month follow-up, there were no voiding complaints. (C) 1999 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
