Abstract
The cases in this article were chosen to demonstrate vitally important clue s that should alert the surgeon of an impending complication. The discussio n following each case includes a review of the data on the specific complic ation as well as the author's opinion on what went wrong and how the compli cation could have been avoided. Recognition of these situations will lead t o prevention, which is essential in hysteroscopy.
