Abstract
Palladium-catalysed aminocarbonylation of a 7-bromo- or 7-iodo-1,4-benzodia zepine with N-Cbz-4,4'-bipiperidine hydrochloride efficiently introduced th e 7-(4,4'-bipiperidinylcarbonyl) moiety of (2S)-7-(4,4'-bipiperidinylcarbon yl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-4-methyl-3-oxo-1H-1,4-benzodiazepine-2-acetic acid.
