Abstract
Our knowledge of prostanoids is rapidly increasing. in this review we surve y the factors governing the synthesis of prostanoids by the urinary bladder , their role in the maintenance of normal bladder function, the pattern of their secretion in bladder disease and the possible use of prostanoids in t he treatment of bladder pathology.
