Abstract
Neissenia meningitidis is a rare cause of cellulitis. No cases of meningoco ccal sialadenitis have previously been reported. We recently successfully t reated a patient who had meningococcal cellulitis and sialadenitis. We revi ew previously reported cases of cellulitis due to N meningitidis and specul ate on the role of underlying disease in the pathogenesis of this infection .
