H. Hopkala et al., CHLORPROTHIXENE ION-SELECTIVE MEMBRANE ELECTRODES DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION IN PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS, Die Pharmazie, 52(4), 1997, pp. 307-309
The liquid and poly(vinyl chloride) membrane electrodes responsive to
the chlorprothixene cation are described. These electrodes are based o
n the use of ion-pair complexes of the chlorprothixene picrolonate and
chlorprothixene tetraphenylborate. The electrodes exhibit nearly Nems
tian response values in different concentration ranges depending on th
e used counter ions. The basic analytical parameters of these electrod
es were evaluated. The potentiometric titration method was used to det
ermine the amount of chlorprothixene hydrochloride in pure form and in
tablets with an average of 100,4% and a relative standard deviation o
f 1,7%.
