Abstract
Stereospecific reaction of optically pure (S)-1-(2-pyridinyl) ethanol metha nesulfonate with aromatic and aliphatic amines, and thiols in DMSO gives (R )-1-(2-pyridinyl)ethylamine and sulfide with inversion of the configuration in good yields.
