We report two cases of distal cerebral aneurysms that were treated by paren
t artery occlusion with short Guglielmi detachable roils (GDCs). One patien
t had a presumed mycotic aneurysm of the distal left posterior cerebral art
ery, and the other had a partially clipped aneurysm of the distal right ant
erior inferior cerebellar artery that had hemorrhaged, Short GDCs allow con
trolled, accurate occlusion of the parent artery at the aneurysmal neck.
