Abstract
For a second-order elliptic boundary value problem, We develop an intergrid transfer operator in multigrid method for the P-1-nonconforming finite ele ment method. This intergrid transfer operator needs smaller computation tha n previous intergrid transfer operators. Multigrid method with this operato r converges well, (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Inc.
