Abstract
We present the seeing estimates obtained with the ESO differential image mo tion monitor (DIMM) at Mount Maidanak from August 7, 1996, through Septembe r 21, 1997. The median value of beta(atm), the full width at half maximum o f a long-exposure stellar image at zenith at lambda = 500 nm, for the entir e period of observations is 0".70. For the La Silla and Paranal Observatori es, this parameter is 0".87 and 0".66, respectively.
