A procedure for computing model atmospheres of R CrB stars is discussed. Th
e procedure is implemented in the SAM941 program, which is a modification o
f ATLAS9. Model atmospheres of the Sun and R CrB computed by using the MARC
S and SAM941 programs are compared. The effect of various opacity sources o
n model atmospheres and emergent fluxes is studied. The dependences of the
structure of R CrB model atmospheres on hydrogen and carbon abundances are
shown to differ markedly.
