The location of UX Ori stars on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram

On the basis of long-term photometric monitoring, we have determined the fu ndamental parameters (luminosity, mass, radius, and age) for 11 stars with non-periodic Algol-like brightness decreases. All the stars studied are loc ated above the zero-age main sequence in the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, i n full accord with the suggestion that they are young objects. It is shown that the fundamental parameters of UX Ori stars do not differ from these of other Herbig Ae/Be stars.
