Abstract
Chlorella ferredoxin is thermostable for several hours at 50 degrees C. How ever, in the presence of 9,10-phenanthrorine or 2, 2'-bipyridine, the oxidi zed [2Fe-2S] cluster of ferredoxin undergoes spontaneous reduction to the r educed state without adding other reducing agents.
