Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis is a rare cutaneous-articular disease th at may mimic more common disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis or tophaceo us gout. in one fourth of patients, it is a paraneoplastic process. This br ief overview is aimed at physicians who care for patients with polyarthriti s, to alert them to distinctive features that differentiate multicentric re ticulohistiocytosis from the common arthritides.
