Tf. Kuznetsova et al., Texture control of metal double hydroxides by oxoanions using preliminary sorption of alkyl sulfates, COLL J, 61(1), 1999, pp. 72-76
Specific features of the modification of the texture and bulk properties of
mixed nickel-chromium double hydroxides on the pillaring of their layered
structure with oxoanions based on silicon, vanadium, molybdenum, and tungst
en are revealed by the investigation of the adsorption-desorption of water
vapor and X-ray diffraction analysis. It is shown that pillaring of the hyd
roxides coprecipitated in the presence of sodium alkyl sulfates with differ
ent carbon chain lengths (8, 10, and 12 carbon atoms) increases the specifi
c surface area of the obtained samples. The maximal increase in the specifi
c surface area was obtained for the hydroxides after preliminary sorption o
f sodium octyl sulfate.
