Abstract
A simplified method based on a thin screen assumption and a collocation met hod is proposed to determine the Stokes pow near a pore of a spatially peri odic model porous wall with suction. The problem is split into two simple p roblems: a simple shear flow, and a uniform pow through art elementary circ ular constriction of a spatially periodic thin screen. The results are very close to those obtained numerically for the problem without using this sim plification. (C) Academie des sciences/Elsevier; Paris.
