Bh. Hoiting et al., FEEDFORWARD CONTROL OF AGONIST-INDUCED CA2-KINASE-C IN AIRWAY SMOOTH-MUSCLE CELLS( SIGNALING BY PROTEIN), European journal of pharmacology. Molecular pharmacology section, 290(2), 1995, pp. 5-7
In isolated bovine tracheal smooth muscle cells, the potent and specif
ic protein kinase C inhibitor GF 109203X caused an inhibition of metha
choline-and histamine-induced Ca2+ mobilization and influx, indicating
for the first time that protein kinase C activation induced by contra
ctile agonists exerts a positive feedforward control of Ca2+ signallin
g by these agonists.
