Abstract
Invariance to aggregation and disaggregation of the total labor intens ity, which characterizes the total macroeconomic labor costs of produc ing a unit set of the final or unproductive consumption under a given sectoral structure, is proved. Total labor intensity vs. specific char acteristics of the sectors of the Russian economy is investigated nume rically, and conclusions are drawn about the priorities in changing th ese characteristics.
