Abstract
A content analysis of student survey data from 4,285 respondents in thirty- one institutions found that students at schools with academic honor codes v iew the issue of academic integrity in a fundamentally different way than s tudents at non-honor code institutions. This difference seems to stem from the presence of an honor code and the influence such codes have on the way students think about academic honesty and dishonesty.
