Abstract
The structures and absolute stereochemistries of tomenphantins A (1) and B (2), cytotoxic germacranolides isolated from Elephantopus tomentosus, are r eported herein. H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopic data, chemical transformatio n, and single-crystal X-ray analysis were used in these determinations.
