Abstract
Fractionation of the n-hexane extract of the leaves of Harrisonia abyssinic a, collected in Guinea, afforded three novel and unusual prenylated polyket ides, which were named oumarone (1), bissaone (2), and aissatone (3). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, mainly 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy.
