Abstract
This study utilizes empirical data collected at the daylight measurement st ation at the National University of Singapore to (1) evaluate the performan ce of SOLARIS-a computational tool for the prediction of irradiance on any arbitrarily oriented surface at any geographical location; (2) assess the r eliability of five algorithms for the prediction of-sky luminance distribut ion; and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of outdoor irradiance and luminance prediction algorithms for the simulation of indoor illuminance levels in a test space.
