Abstract
A combined electrical and large-signal time-domain optical model has been u sed to investigate distributed microwave effects along the top electrode of a mode-locked monolithic extended-cavity laser structure, used to generate ultrashort pulses of less then 10 ps. It is shown that the bond-wire posit ion can influence the harmonic content of the mode-locked signal generated. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
