Abstract
It is proposed that a parameter beta proportional to a product of the cross section of two-photon excitation and the luminescence quantum yield be use d for the description of two-photon-excited luminescence of organic and bio logical molecules. This parameter can be used fdr an efficient selection of media for various applications based on the recording of two-photon-excite d luminescence.
