Abstract
Relatively simple approximate formulas describing the light absorption coef ficients for randomly oriented clusters of spherical particles are obtained . Approximate and exact values of absorption coefficients for clusters cons isting of touching particles are compared for different values of refractiv e index, particle size, and number of particles in a cluster.
