Abstract
We describe a system for complete autoalignment of a suspended, power-recyc led Michelson interferometer. All ten angular degrees of freedom are contro lled by servo systems, thus ensuring optimal interference and fixing all be ams in space. The methods and results are applicable to laser-interferometr ic gravitational wave detectors, and possibly also to other types of sensit ive interferometers. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
