Catalytic hydrogenolysis of the C-F bond in most unreactive monofluoroarene s readily occurs under mild conditions, in the presence of homogeneous and/ or heterogeneous Rh catalysts generated from [(Cy3P)(2)-Rh(H)Cl-2], H-2, an d aqueous alkali.
