By using the results of a recent analysis of various channels of e(+)e(-) a
nnihilations, diagonal and transition electromagnetic form factors for ligh
t hadrons have been calculated in the timelike region up to the threshold o
f open-charm production. By comparing the results of these calculations wit
h available experimental data on J/psi decays into such hadrons, it has bee
n shown that new resonance structures may be present in the mass region abo
ve 2 GeV. Their searches can contribute to obtaining deeper insight into th
e mass spectrum both in the simple quark model and in more complicated ones
and to clarifying fine details of the three-gluon mechanism of violation o
f the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuki rule.
