Abstract
Tropomyosin, an actin-binding protein, can regulate the interaction between actin and myosin. A kind of tropomyosin was identified and localized by an ti-smooth muscle tropomyosin polyclonal antibody. On immunoblotting of the crude extract of lily pollen, antibody Labels a polypeptide of approximatel y 64 kD. Immuno-fluorescence microscopy shows that the antibody yields nume rous fluorescent spots throughout the whole length of pollen tube.
