Physics and US national security

Throughout history there has been a close relation between physics and the military. In this article the author concentrates on the connection between physics and U.S. national security. In particular he discusses application s of physics to photo reconnaissance from space, antiballistic missile syst ems, nuclear testing, and scientific advising.
