Abstract
Electrochemical purification of pseudoboehmite (AlOOH) to remove sodium cat ions to a residual Na2O content of 0.01% is studied. The advisability of us ing this method for obtaining high-purity pseudoboehmite aluminum hydroxide precipitates is considered with account of the fact that this method requi res no chemically purified water for washing and is ecologically safe and h ighly efficient.
