Abstract
X-ray structural analysis of Na-2(H2L) . 3H(2)O, where H4L is vinylidenedip hosphonic acid CH2=C(PO3H2)(2), is carried out. Two sodium ions in the stru cture have a distorted octahedral coordination formed by the protonated and deprotonated O atoms of the H2L2- anions and O(w) atoms of the water molec ules. The H2L2- anions are combined together and with water molecules of cr ystallization by the branched system of hydrogen bonds.
