Electroconductance of solid solutions based on sodium pyrophosphate is stud
ied in systems Na4-3xMexP2O7 (Me = Sc, Ga, Y, La, Nd, Tb, Yb). The maximum
sodium-cation conductivity is intrinsic to the scandium-containing system,
because of the highest solubility of the modifying additive in it. The ioni
c conductivity in the systems studied is determined by the number of vacant
sites in the sodium sublattice and by the geometrical factor.
