This chapter outlines the use of endoluminal stents in the peripheral vascu
lar system. It details the indications, technique, results, and complicatio
ns and gives a review of the literature. Specifically, it discusses the use
of these stents in popliteal aneurysms and several different types of AV f
istulas. The results suggest that isolated iliac aneurysms are well treated
by stent grafts. In contrast, results in popliteal and femoral aneurysms a
re not as good.
