This article describes the author's experience with the treatment of abdomi
nal aneurysms with a specific nitinol stent. The indications, technique, re
sults, and complications of his experience are included. The breakdown of p
atients is separated into two main groups. The early group includes patient
s from 1994 to 1996; the second group describes patients from 1996 to 1997.
The author also separated patients into three types of aneurysms: Type A,
B, and C. Type A had no iliac involvement; Type B involved the aortic bifur
cation; Type C had involvement of the common iliac arteries without iliac b
ifurcation.
