Abstract
This is the first report of a succesful first metatarsophalangeal joint art hrodesis using great toe arthroscopy and percutaneous internal fixation. Th e surgical trauma associated with open operative arthrodesis can be minimiz ed using minimally invasive techniques under arthroscopic control. The auth ors describe the principles of the surgery and discuss the advantages compa red with traditional surgery.
