Abstract
Internal herniae are responsible for 2 % of intestinal obstructions. V arious types of such herniae have been described. Diagnosis is difficu lt but must be throught of in a patient with small bowel obstruction w ithout previous laparotomy or apparent hernia of the abdominal wall. T reatment is always surgical.
