Pulsed laser ablation of Y1Ba2Cu3O7-delta at 355 nm has been investigated w
ith a quadrupole mass spectrometric technique, The profiles of the TOF spec
tra of Y, Ba and Cu atoms and ions are nearly the same, The translational e
nergies of ionic ablated species estimated from their TOF spectra are indep
endent on the laser fluences, The angular distributions can be well fitted
by the expression of cos(n)theta for ionic ablated Y+, Ba+ and Cu+. The pro
duction of BaO, YO and CuO might have different mechanisms.
