The fabrication and electrocatalytic characteristics of osmium complex poly
mer [Os (bpy)(2)(PVP)(10)Cl]Cl(OsP) or OsP-Nafion dual-layer membrane modif
ied carbon-base (glassy carbon or graphite) electrodes were studied, The el
ectrocatalytic behaviour of these modified electrodes to the oxidation of c
atecholamines(dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine) was investigated. T
he kinetic parameters of these electrocatalytic reactions were obtained, Th
e OsP-Nafion dual-layer membrane modified electrodes could eliminate effici
ently the interference of ascorbic acid and could be used in quantitative d
etermination of trace catecholamine levels, The modified elecrodes showed e
xcellent sensibility, selectivity and stability.
