Abstract
Co/ZrO2 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method. Their structures an d TPR properties were studied by XRD, TPR, and CO oxidation as a probe reac tion. The results showed that there was a strong interaction between Co and ZrO2, which restrained the growth of fine particles of zirconium oxide and the phase transformation of t-ZrO2 to m-ZrO2. By calcination at a high tem perature, part of the cobalt oxide formed a solid solution with zirconium o xide. The form of cobalt oxide is Co3O4 for Co/ZrO2 catalyst. In addition, the interaction between Co and ZrO2 raised the dispersion of cobalt oxide o n ZrO2. The activity of CO oxidation increased with the increasing of Co lo ading.
