Abstract
With the aim of the obtention of biodegradable material, we describe a new method for the esterification of microcrystalline cellulose. This methodolo gy uses microwave irradiation under solvent-free conditions in the presence of basic catalysts. (C) Academie des sciences/Elsevier, Paris.
