Abstract
Various types of indentation tests a re used to investigate the plasti city of glassy materials. It is shown that indentation creep tests per formed with both flat ended cylindrical and hemispherical indenters ar e suitable for viscosity measurements in the viscosity range of 10(8)- 10(11) Pa.s. It is a Iso sh own that the activation energy of the flow process can be evaluated from the results of indentation measurements .
